Universal PDF Forms Maker (UPdfM)

These software tools enable rapid automatic mark-up of all PDF forms. The package consists of two tools:
  1. Universal PDF object Extractor (uPDF-Extractor)
  2. Universal PDF file Modifier (uPDF-Modifier)
The Extractor does the time consuming heavy duty processing for extracting the graphical objects from existing PDF files. It can also create markable PDF files from arbitrary page-images. The Extractor produces an intermediate binary object file that is needed by the Universal_pdf_file_Modifier tool.

The Universal_pdf_file_Modifier tool rapidly produces marked up versions of PDF forms. The resulting PDF file is printable on all popular platforms. This tool is ideal for automatic processing, such as for database back-end formatting of documents for downloading to customers. The customizable metadata file specifies where to place customer result markups onto PDF forms.

The Universal_pdf_file_Modifier tool is released as Free Open Source Software (FOSS) which can be embedded within all third party products and used by all customers. It is small, portable, and self contained with no external dependencies.

The Extractor tool can create PDF object files from existing PDF files. It can also create PDF object files from JPG, GIF, or PNG page-images.

The Extractor tool is available for a small license fee as an executable that is intended for provider usage. Source code of the Extractor is also available for an additional fee, but is usually not necessary. The Extractor tool, being more complex, has some external dependencies available in many popular Linux distributions. Email and phone support can be purchased at basic hourly rates.
